Happy gas or laughing gas is a
form of conscious sedation achieved by the mixing of oxygen and nitrous
oxide. The technique has been in use for over a hundred years and is an
extremely safe way of achieving mild sedation for nervous patients.
- You are still awake and able to
react to commands but feel a lot more relaxed.
- You still need an injection for
treatment.
- It wears off very quickly with
no after effects. [back]

Tooth whitening can be achieved
either by in-surgery chairside whitening using the latest technology, Zoom! 2 or at home
using a night guard system.
These techniques lighten discolouration of the teeth caused by ageing,
consumption of staining substances, genetic factors and tetracycline ingestion.
